I started work on Monday and Tuesday. HECTIC! No major problems per se, just a crazy office with no real system in place. But the office has run thus far so I can only assume there is some functionality to the madness.
Everyone in the office is so nice and passionate about what they do (and they are all women). The introduction into the office was brief so-to-speak; with so much going on, not enough people to cover everything, and an unfortunate lack of organization, it is fast-paced…I loved it. The transition into the office was equally fast-paced as I picked up the daily doings at my desk and jumped into projects and events. My boss is extremely helpful and supportive. The office itself is a bit of a contradiction as it is on steroids the majority of the time, but also laid back and a somewhat relaxing environment. It is my favorite way to work to be honest.
The women are incredibly smart and driven to implement their beliefs and women’s equality into society. It is a movement, so-to-speak, that I am excited to be a part of. The networking exposure that I will receive will be beneficial as well.
I am just happy I have a job that I like. Not many of my friends were that lucky…
